I have 4 BC245's operating inside the house and when the factory battery packs died, I tried a Factory pack but then someone told me about an after market pack from "Lee Electronics". Their toll free phone is 1-800-578-6006, Email is www.LeesElect.com I have 4 of their packs, Model BP-1600 NMIH, 4.8volt - 1600mah. I have been running all 4 of these packs for more than 4 years and they are still operating, I follow the factory recommended charge and recycle as listed in the BC-245 Owners Manual recommends.
