RadioReference (http://www.radioreference.com) has an extensive Wiki
based section on all the current digital trunktrackers. They are
indexed here - all you need do is to click on the model of interest,
and you'll be taken to that article...

http://wiki.radioreference.com/index.php/Category:Digital_Scanners

Now to get recommendations - post your questions on the Nebraska forum
at RadioReference (often abbreviated RR); and there's an Omaha based
scanning group on Yahoo here (you can't have too many sources of
information in this game...).

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Omahascanning/

RR also has extensive forums on Radio Shack, GRE and Uniden scanners.
If you have specific questions on these scanners you can start there.
Yahoo groups also has numerous model related groups, as you will see
(usually listed at the bottom of each wiki article). However, it's
always better to get recommendations from folks in your local area.
