BC245XLT Charging Problem

I have 2 bc245xlts both will not charge the batteries when plugged in or run the scanner when plugged in. I can charge the batteries if I remove the batteries and charge them in crx120 charger that also plugs in the the scanner at the same time while charging the batteries but still won't power up the scanner to run. years ago i sent them back to uniden to be repaired because of this problem but it has happened again.
