A list devoted to the BC245 trunktracker. It's been awhile since I manually programmed my 245 but I think the only way to get the radio to accept TG IDs is to be receiving a control channel in the bank you are programming. The 245 never allowed programming in advance of being in a coverage area unless a local control channel was programmed in long enough to fool the radio. ----- Original Message ----- From: [email protected] To: [email protected] Sent: Friday, June 20, 2008 5:25 AM Subject: [BC245XLT] Digest Number 1748 A list devoted to the BC245 trunktracker. Re: trunking id's Posted by: "Gary" gb856-/[email protected] gb856 Thu Jun 19, 2008 4:25 am (PDT) I have also had a 245 for several years and still have problems with the trunk tracking and programing. How do you view the ID's that are programed into the radio? Sometimes it works on one bank and stops working on the other. --- In [email protected], Tom Humes <tomhumes3050@...> wrote: > > I have had my 245 for several years. Only a couple of trunking sources up here in northern az. When I went to Flagstaff recently I tried to program Flagstaff PD and Coconino Co. APS into the 245. The freqs went in without any problem. But, the TG ID's are not in the radio. When I consulted the manual to load the ID's manually nothing worked the way the manual said it should. My email address is tomhumes3050@... If anybody has a clue to what I am doing wrong please contact me off group at my email address. The reason is I don't want to clutter the site with something that is addressed to me alone. > > > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] > Back to top Reply to sender | Reply to group | Reply via web post Messages in this topic (5) 1b. Re: trunking id's Posted by: "David Smart" [email protected] david_smart_radio Thu Jun 19, 2008 4:54 am (PDT) You've got to be in trunking ID scan mode and hearing the control channel. Then manual and up/down to look at the TGs. But there's no "off-line" way to look at them.
