Jim you didn't say what OS is on your machine, but the only two I am
sure of that is Vista compliant is Scan Control at:

http://www.scannersoft.com

and the famous IDTracker software (the URL for which is in our links
section, I'm sure....)

There are many other programs but I have no idea whether they will
work in Vista or not. I've written several reviews on some of them - a
bit dated now, of course - and they may give you some insights.
