Re: Need a little help programming talk groups

One challenge to entering talkgroup IDs in the 245 is that the radio automatically goes into trunking mode when it picks up the control channel. If the reception of the control channel is weak and the radio starts scanning the other frequencies it will go out of trunking mode until it gets the control channel again. You can input talkgroup IDs while the radio is in trunk mode and not when it isn't in trunk mode. I found it necessary to go to a part of town where reception was flawless while I input my talkgroups.
