I had that same wire break a couple of times and soldered it back with a Wahl cordless with a needle tip. It's pretty easy to do. The last time I broke that wire I changed it to a stranded, more flexible wire- the braided wire salvaged from an old speaker. That will never break the same way. Having a shop do it will be the easiestas long as the rates aren't so high.
