RE: Where can I get a Interface cable

It came with it and they are scarce as hen's teeth.  I still have mine but
it has been hanging off the back of the computer for years.  Cable is serial
but you can adapt it with a serial USB adapter.  The adapter needs to have
the conversion software to talk to the radio software as a virtual port.
Every place I have asked that has cable listed has responded with
discontinued.

I went to the Uniden site and they don't show it. I asked HamRadio Outlet
and they don't have a listing. Those have been my best sources. 

I got my 245 way back in the early '90's or late 80's. I have forgotten if
there was a data cable included, or if I lost mine. I know for the 246t a
data cable with serial plug on it came with it and to connect to USB, a USB
to Serial adapter and adapter driver are necessary. I guess that same kind
of thing is needed for
the 245 cable, unless they made an updated cable that connects to USB
instead of serial. It probably would still need a computer driver.
