RE: Update for Scanner

Scott,

I don't remember the firmware being flashable on the BC245XLT.  I remember
having an early 1.17 version and later a newer 1.04 or 1.02 version (two
different scanners and yes the 1.17 was an earlier firmware version!).

Hi Everyone,

I am trying to find out how to update my scanner. It currently has the 1.17
software on it and I have read there is a few issues with it. Where could I
find out how to update the scanner or am I ok at 1.17? I love this scanner
and have had it about 10 years. Only thing wong with it is the battery isn't
any good but have found a replacement for around $14 with free shipping.
Lost the data cable years ago but found someone in Canada that had one
collecting sudt and have it coming for $12. It has been a wonderful scanner.

Any thoughts on the firmware would be great.
