I am using a 9pin serial to usb converter cabl Unplug the USB to serial port device from the computer. Reboot Open the device manager in the windows control panel. Plug in the USB device. The device manger will change and create a listing for the new com port. If the device manager does not list your device you need to insure that the driver installed works with your operating system. Win XP, Win Vista or Win 7. When the device manager lists your com port note the number of the com port. Once you have the com port set up in windows: Follow the instructions on page 62 of the manual to set up the PC control port and turn on remote programming. Now you can start your software to program the radio by simply selecting the "correct com port" in the software settings/configuration and upload & download the radio memories and settings. -- Best Regards, Keith http://home.comcast.net/~kilowattradio/ ------------------------------------ Enjoy the list !
