Our fire dispatch is still analog until they arrive on scene and switch to =
tactical channel. Then it's all digital. I have my 245 monitor dispatch =
24/7 and use my 396 to focuse on events. Police are encrypted in my county=
but cities use analog and switch for certain events to encrypted digital. =
Works well for me helps prevent missed dispatches where I might want to c=
hange focus.=20=20=20

  Hello Chucky,

I still have my 245, but have upgraded to a UBCD396XT digital scanner.

The 396 is so complex that I have to prog it from a computer. So I use my
245 when I have to prog analogue signals on the hop in the field as it is
  so simple.

  Regards,

  Doug
