Bob,
I agree.  it is a fine   piece  of equipment. 
It's really the only  Trunking scanner  i have 
ever had-or needed.. Believe it or not the NYS 
police  still use(anyone feel free to correct me 
if i am wrong)  a VHF  remote base GE 
system..  pretty old stuff.. and pretty much 
a  PITA  IF YOU WANT TO TUNE IN TO.. not 
digital  i dont thing, but just a royal 
pain.  Westerly,  I think thats where i would 
have taken my cross country had i finished my Pilots license....
