I use the Butel Software (www.butel.nl). It's really the best software package I have seen for the Uniden BC780XLT. It runs in Windows, so as long as you have a copy loaded on your MAC and run Boot Camp, Parallels or VMware, you will do just fine.

I know you want to pull this off just with mac software alone, but what I seen out that was marginal at best.
