Hello Jim KI7AY, thanks for your reply. Out of frustration,I cut the main rs232 cable after doing an ohms test. Found there was only three wires inside the cabling. Shot down to the local electronics store and bought a new cable and everything is fine. You just never know. Thanks again for the reply. Cheers Norm
