Radio friends, I'd endorse the previous posts. And add this. If you're a hardcore cheapskate like me, you will find a USB to serial adapter at a hamfest for $1-$2 (or at rummage sale or Craigslist), download the driver, and start programming your scanner. Two (IO Gear and Radio Shack) of the 4 I bought at hamfests have worked just fine on 3 different computers, 2 running Windows XP, and one running Windows Vista. If you buy a cable using my el cheapo method, make sure you can read the manufacturers name and model number on the cable, and/or use your phone to search the web to ensure drivers are available free on the web for the cable you are buying. ____________________________________________________________ Groupon™ Official Site 1 ridiculously huge coupon a day.
