Hi mikelock98 & all, New to the group. Looking to find a good used BC780XLT to replace my BC898T. I modified my 898T by adding a line-out jack to the back to patch into my PC's sound card. This unit has an ext speaker/headphone jack on the front. When I need to mute the internal speaker, I insert a right-angle headphone jack adapter into the front headphone jack. This naturally cuts-out the external speaker. These right-angle headphone adapters can be found at an electronics store like Radio Shack or Fry's for under $5. -Jay --- In mailto:UnidenBC780XLT%40yahoogroups.com, "mikelock98" <mikelock98@...> wrote: > > I'd like to run my 780's audio from the line output and mute the onboard speaker.
