scanner volume knob breaks

Hello from Florida,

  Like previous posters, I have experienced this, on my own BC-780; BC-785D; and these 2 and BC-796D scanners at the TV station where I work.   We have had numerous volume knobs split.   And like previous posters, I have had very good success using Superglue (cyanocrylate) and similar brands to fix these knobs.  Once repaired, they don't seem to break again.

  Another solution is to look for similar sized knobs at electronics stores, surplus stores, and hamfests.  The knobs don't match, but they do work.
