Congratulations on your "new" 780XLT! 
Probably the best thing you can do is to get the ARC780 programming software. 
It will really simplify your programming tasks.

  OK.780XLT arrived today.All seems in order and radio is in nice condition,all present and correct.I've just had a look at the manual (gulp!) and think I may find some things just a little bit daunting.That comes from using Realistic PRO 2006s for years.I've got 2 of them,but this baby seems a different affair altogether.Wish me luck and watch this space.
