Gerry: I'm not conversant with Proscan but do this regularly using the Scan Control software - See web for more information, there's even a Scan Control Forum.. The good news is that the programme will work with most USB to Serial converters, mine is a 'smart card' that plugs into my notebook. I love both the scanner and Scan Soft software, they are good partners. The other benefit of Scan Soft is that you can import/export setups to other scanners.
