Did you try turning the VFO knob to turn to the channel you want instead of

Just got a new 785 and the dealer programmed one bank of trunk
tracking on it. Now I'm trying to program local stuff manualy I keep
getting the steps menue when I try to put in the channel number.
Can anyone help.

If you have come here to find out about the 785D you have come to the right
place! In fact the discussion of the BC-785D and how it works is the only
acceptable topic on this list. Any discussion about anything other than the
BC-785D is OFF TOPIC. I hope this is clear to all group members..
