hello and hey i noticed that on my scanner when i turn it on the volume is down and its stil loud  and what makes it so worse i have a ext speaker inline.u turn ther volume down its still loud i thought it was just me lol happy new year if you figure it out let me know.

is reception, so I have no problem there.  I have a sound glitch that is a

works properly most of the time, but about once in every three times I turn
it on, I have to apply the whack fix.  If anyone else out there has had a
similar experience and has a fix - other than the whack approach, I'd like
to hear about it.  I'm concerned that one too many whacks will eventually do
the radio in, probably before it becomes obsolete.  Suggestions?
