Mobile with 785D and a VHF hi-band radio

Does anyone have any experience using a 785D and a ham 2 meter (or VHF
high band) 50 watt radio with both mounted in a car and with both
connected to appropriate mobile antennas that are two or three feet
apart on the trunk or roof of the car?

What I really want to know is if the 785D can stand being in that
strong an rf field and not be damaged.
