However, since I have a T-shirt for dealing with this problem I'll throw in my $.02. Since you have invested in a BC785D, I will assume you are listening to services across the VHF/UHF spectrum. As a result, the solution to your problem, may not be simple. It would help to know the frequencies you do scan (VHF, UHF, trunked, avaition, etc) and whether you listen to signals originating from one particular direction or from all points of the compass Are there other RF sources close to you? There are lots of devices and techniques available to reduce interference and intermodulation products (directional antennas, attenuators, notch filters, bandpass fileters.....) but any recommendation need further information from you regarding your monitoring preferences and budget, Or, you could move ;-) Steve W6CDU If you have come here to find out about the 785D you have come to the right place!
