THE SOFTWARE THAT COMES WITH THE 796D WORKS LIKE A CHARM WITH THE 785D. I BEEN USING IT FOR SOMETIME NOW. IT LETS YOU NOT ONLY PROGRAM, BUT LET'S YOU CONTROL THE SCANNER ON THE CPU.
WORKS GREAT................ BY THE WAY,,, THE SOFTWARE DOESN'T HAVE TO BE REGISTERED OR ANYTHING,,, JUST BORROW THE CD FROM SOMEBODY,, DOWNLOAD THE PROGRAM,,, AND PASS IT AROUND TO YOUR BUDDIES................................................

Subject: [UnidenBC785D] Andy's programmer & BC785D
I can get this program to read the scanner memories and to write the
alpha, freq, & tone to the memories, but not a delay value of, for
example, 4 seconds. It keeps the default 2 second value in the
channel's memory. What do I expect for free, but it is still way better
that keypadding it in. I tried resetting the scanner memory, but that
did not help. Any ideas?
If you have come here to find out about the 785D you have come to the right place! In fact the discussion of the BC-785D and how it works is the only acceptable topic on this list. Any discussion about anything other than the BC-785D is OFF TOPIC. I hope this is clear to all group members..
