I DON'T KNOW IF IT'S THE SAME SOFTWARE THAT IS ON THE UNIDEN SITE,,,,,,,, I HAVE TRIED TO OPEN THE LINK THAT YOU SENT,,, BUT FOR SOME REASON,, I CAN'T GET IT TO OPEN SO I CAN TAKE A LOOK. I LOOKED ON THEIR SITE A COUPLE A WEEKS AGO TO SEE IF I COULD FIND IT,, I FIGURED THAT IT MIGHT BE THERE AND BE FREE TO DOWNLOAD SINCE IT CAME FREE WITH A 796 SCANNER,,,,,,,,, BUT I DIDN'T FIND THE PROGRAM. I FOUND THE FREE SOFTWARE THAT COMES WITH THE 785,, BUT THAT PROGRAM AIN'T NO COUNT,,, I GOT THAT ONE AND I USED IT FOR A FRIZBY,,,,,, (TOSSED IT) IF I EVER GET THE LINK TO OPEN THAT YOU SENT ME,,, I'LL CHECK IT OUT AND LET YOU KNOW IF IT IS. IT IS A GREAT PROGRAM.... THE CONTROL PART OF IT COMES UP AS A PICTURE OF THE 796 OR 785 ( just alike) AND THE THING WORKS GREAT. YOU CAN CONTROL EVERYTHING ON YOUR SCANNER EXCEPT THE VOLUME,, AND I DON'T THINK ANY OF THE PROGRAMS DO THAT. BUT IF YOU WANT TO MUTE THE SCANNER,, JUST CLICK ON THE MUTE BUTTON. AFTER I DOWNLOADED THE PROGRAM,, I WENT IN TO MY CONTROL PANEL AND THEN TO DISPLAY AND CHANGED MY SCREEN RESOLUTION,, AND MADE THE DISPLAY OF THE SCANNER ON THE MONITOR SHOW UP REAL LARGE. THAT MADE IT MUCH MORE ENJOYABLE. THE OTHER PART OF THE PROGRAM DEALS WITH CHARTS FOR THE BANKS AND YOUR MEMORIES AND SUCH.
