800 mhz rebanding

Guys, 

Has anyone heard of the FCC plan to re-band 800mhz?? reading another 
board it would make trunk tracking the motorola systems impossible 
with the 785D( which I have). I went to Uniden's site and the 785D is 
not a flash upgradeable scanner. Are we truly screwed? I monitor Mass 
State police and will not be happy if I have to buy a new scanner just 
to scan trunked systems. Please tell me I'm wrong, I'd rather be.
