Your nextel transmitting near it shouldn't be a problem.  I work for 
an aeromedical transport company and our main communications between 
our pilots and dispatch is the nextel.  Right next to dispatch is our 
785D.  And sometimes we even have to turn the scanner down when we're 
transmitting on the nextel.
