Reply to Jim H! Using id scan will allow you to gather unknown talk groups on your system. Then you can try to identify and add to your scan preferences. Regards, Robert Jennings, ABC News

  Hi all-

Really like my BC785D, using 1 bank (of 10), trunked, using 90/100
  channels, 9 active scan lists.

Our system, Franklin COunty Ohio, is Motorola, 800 mhz, Type II,
Smartnet-makes it easy to program-I bought a demo, which had a lot
programmed, 60/100 on Bank 1, so I have been manually tweaking it for
  my preferences.

What's the difference between Scan and ID Scan on a trunked bank?

Thanks to all for help and info-

  Jim H.
