Press MENU,1, 2. This will place the scanner in the Public Safety
SEARCH mode and if it stops on birdies, press RSM, though if the com
is brief, you may miss it. If you do catch the com and desire to
store the freq, Press E, the display should be flashing on the first
blank channel location in the bank you were in when you pressed MENU
in the steps above. If you want to store the freq in this location,
Press E again, if not then rotate the VFO to a desired location and
Press E. If you don't want to store the freq, Press SCAN.

If you have come here to find out about the 785D you have come to the right place! In fact the discussion of the BC-785D and how it works is the only acceptable topic on this list. Any discussion about anything other than the BC-785D is OFF TOPIC. I hope this is clear to all group members..
