You forgot temp lockout, as the Motorola Spectra has. You hit a button and whatever talkgroup you were on is locked out until you stop scan or power the radio off/on. That would be nice for those long winded conversations that you'd rather not hear but are afraid to lock out because tomorrow you DO want to scan that talkgroup/freq. -----Original Message----- From: Brian D. Or Both. rs232 ports are from the drak ages. 2) Include audio in the data sent to the PC when using pc control 3) vol/sq control via pc control (would require up/down volume and squelch buttons instead of knobs on the scanner itself?) 4) Per channel and per bank tone search rather than scannerwide. (would almost put this as number 1. ) 5) User definable banks, keep the number at 10, but let the user define them. So like Bank 1 could be 1-15 and bank 2 could be 16-150 or something. For some reason I thought I had more. I consider 1-4 almost required. -brian If you have come here to find out about the 785D you have come to the right place! In fact the discussion of the BC-785D and how it works is the only acceptable topic on this list. Any discussion about anything other than the BC-785D is OFF TOPIC. I hope this is clear to all group members..
