I bought an inexpensive DC to DC converter that outputs 345 Watts worth of 13.8 VDC even with quite low input voltages. I connectorized it with the FT-100D power connectors so I can drop it in line. It's at Ebay

If that link doesn't work then just do a search in Ebay with a string such as "345 Watt 13.8 VDC DC to DC"

Really convenient way to solve the DC drop in your mobile setup and also covers that battery droop when you're parked somewhere for a while. Just don't kill your battery since it may be a long walk home!
