 Yeah, that is the first thing I did. Did does not power up directly on the unit. I have purchased another one, I could also try the head on the next unit just to be sure it is the head unit.

Have you tried the head directly on the radio to make ascertain if it is still working first?

I was installing my separation kit back into my vehicle when I noticed the control no longer powers up. I installed the control cable with the power plugged into the main unit and I think I probably arced across the terminal on the SK cable and shorted something. Anyone know where I should start probing or what might have failed?
