Hi , these have had grounding problems there are mods you can do there is plenty of info online, first thing to do is open the radio and were the PCB mounting screw's undo the screw's and clean the ground traces then put the screw's back in nice and tight,
But look at the mods online,

Today I noticed SWR bar raising up for seconds and High SWR icon appear on left corner on our FT-100D during call OF9X in pileup even although antenna is matched to 1:1.1 at the radio input.

I am really worrying to use it as do not want to baking finnals...:(
