Oh no. Not at all. 😉 It means that mine is on its way being rebuilt. I am looking to replace some Ft857s with the Ft100s. If i can only run 5 W on VHF or UHF w/o that PA device , I would be happy . 😉 ________________________________ From: [email protected] <[email protected]> on behalf of wade madden [email protected] [FT100] <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, January 7, 2019 12:44 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [FT100] Re: Motorola MRF 1570 Does that mean you have a parts radio? I am also looking for one. last week I had my Ft100 on teh bench , to see that it was drawing 4.5 amps while in RX mode. I removed the MRF1570 from teh radio,, and measured the RX current to be normal again at 1 amp. That says it all, the device was shorted. Good luck with your's. 73 Pete ve3hoh/w3 ________________________________ From: [email protected] <[email protected]> on behalf of k evans [email protected] [FT100] <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, January 6, 2019 8:51 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [FT100] Motorola MRF 1570 Hello guys, Does anyone know where I can purchase a genuine Motorola one? They seem to be easy to obtain from China… But I do not trust that source, I am looking for a full spec genuine one. Thanks 73 Keith G3VKW
