Oh no. Not at all. 😉

It means that mine is on its way being rebuilt.

I am looking to replace some Ft857s with the Ft100s.

If i can only run 5 W on VHF or UHF w/o that PA device , I would be happy .

😉

Does that mean you have a parts radio?

Hi Keith.
I am also looking for one.
last week I had my Ft100 on teh bench , to see that it was drawing 4.5 amps while in RX mode.
I removed the MRF1570 from teh radio,, and measured the RX current to be normal again at 1 amp.
That says it all, the device was shorted.

Good luck with your's.

Hello guys,

Does anyone know where I can purchase a genuine Motorola one?

They seem to be easy to obtain from China… But I do not trust that source,

I am looking for a full spec genuine one.

Thanks
