Another way to fix the conductive rubber pads is a very light wipe over with a very fine sandpaper or emery paper. This often works better than solvents and lasts longer. I have used this method for many years with 100% good results. 73..Eric VK2VE From: [email protected] <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, 1 March 2019 07:33 To: FT-100 Mailing List <[email protected]> Subject: Re: [FT100] Intermittent function switch On Thu, 28 Feb 2019, bobralph [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> [FT100] wrote: > Have you pressed it very hard and kept the pressure on for several > seconds ? If it's one of those "conductive rubber" switches they tend to gum up after a while; cigarette smoke for example is not good for them. I've had some luck with using various solvents such as metho etc, but YMMV. -- Dave VK2KFU --- This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software. https://www.avast.com/antivirus
