One thing you have to watch out for using different microphones is that the=
radio is expecting to get high level audio from the microphone, i.e. the m=
icrophone has a preamp in it. This is because it can be set up with a separ=
ation kit with a long microphone lead and this why it amplifies the audio i=
n the microphone first.=20

Also, you need a 22k resistor between the P1 line and the PTT switch for th=
e PTT to work as the P1 and P2 lines have multiple functions each.=20
