I am sorry to see the group go and I totally understand your frustration. T=
he idea that any large corporation such as Yahoo would attempt to politiciz=
e its access is absurd. I will stand with you and others in avoiding or boy=
cotting groups.io.

Yahoo is shutting down all groups in phases with the first phase occurring =
in a few days.

Migration to groups.io is the obvious solution, but groups.io requires Prem=
ium Membership for the group at the cost of $110/year. The web site states=
that after the first year, the fee can be reduced to zero, but it isn't cl=
ear what functionality is lost.

If any member would like to take ownership of the FT100 Group, please email=
me at [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> . The new owner will be respon=
sible to transfer this group to new group created in groups.io.

Although I have been the moderator of this group for many years, I do not d=
esired to be involved with groups.io for two reasons. First is the fee. Se=
cond is that the group.io owner has offered to allow the transfer free if y=
ou state a particular political belief. Making our hobby political is disg=
usting.
