VR-500 Cable Software / PCI Serial Card

Hi everyone. I thought it only right to let you all know the result of my final set up, As you all knew i had no serial port on my comp so i bought a PCI serial card made by Smart tech and just finished installing it along with XP Pro drivers. I chose com 1 as default tried to TX and RX data with no success, Moved onto com 4 and Bingo now TX and RX data with no problems at all, Everything working a treat. Thanks to all on the group for your advice over the last few days. Oh and BTW The cable i am using came from RS System that i bought when i had my Alinco DJX2 so it works on the Yaesu VR-500 also.
