Hi again Do first what Bob suggest then realign the scanner. It doesn't take special tools to align it, it only involves pressing certain key pad combination as per the instruction you'll in the Files Section. You have nothing to lose anyway by trying it if you really plan it to send back to Yaesu for repairs later. Good luck Dennis Ls. M.
