Dave, Most likely an image. I get several on all my scanners and receivers, I found that it is caused by the baby monitor in the kids room upstairs. It could be an number of things tho. Computers, small electric motors, pool pump motors that are not grounded, blower fans for the home heating system, microwave oven, TV, ceiling fans, etc. Really stinks, because my primary interest in Mil AM stuff. If you ground the antenna in the earth with a good copper wire length with a nice long rod about 3 - 4 feet in damp soil, I found that my base scanners and ham stuff does not hit on as many. Then again, the higher the antenna, the more you may pick up. If you have a data skip function, or att. button, use that, tho it might not get all that happening on that freq.
