June 15, 2007 Hello, there is a possiblity that the cable you're using is defective (logic IC gone bad). If you have access to another VR-500 you can try it there & see what happens or you can borrow another cloning cable to try it on your radio. At worst, you have a broken VR-500 (I hope not!)
