Anyone know what Yaesu charges for repairs, and has anyone had experience sending their VR500 in for service? The display in mine has developed segments in the left-hand side that sometimes work and sometimes not. I opened it and tried to see if I could get at the display connections, but managed to break a small surface-mount coil on the one board and now the UHF sensitivity is shot. <dumb> However, the UHF sensitivity was coming and going before I broke that coil so I think there were other issues. Can't complain about the radio, it's had a lot of service so far, and it is on nearly 24/7 for several years now. I found the info on Yaesu's web site as to where to send it in and all that, just wondered about others' experiences with them. 73, Doug, KA2WFT
