Well, my call to them was much more friendly than the last time. I ordered
it today from calfornia and it is in stock and will ship tomorrow for a
whopping $14.00

Thanks to all who replied. Looking forward to getting it back in service.

Hi Garry,

I have the same problem and contacted the official importer for Italian
market, they were very nice, they said the ppart is available at the cost of
16€+tax, the only drwback is that they need to order it from Japan and it
takes 60 to 90 days.

This is the email of the guy I talked to [email protected]

Ciao!!
Antongiulio

I have a 500 an need a new back case and battery door as mine is cracked.
Any idea of where to get one. I tried the company an they certainly don't
have good customer service.

I don't care about or necessarily agree with the negatives. It's a great
little radio and if something happened to it I'd buy another one. I listen
to the Coast Guard and SSB aero HF frequencies as well as UHF military
aircraft and it works well for me.
