Darn, now you made me have to get my manual out!

The specs list the VR-500 as .1000 MHz - 1299.9995 (cellular blocked)

I think they have have 16 meter covered. I know I've done CB on mine, 
although it's hard to listen to much of that unless you've got something 
to talk back to most of the stuff there...

It might be something new, so give Grove a call first to clarify. 
However, I think you get all mode reception through most, if not all of 
the frequency range.
