USB Programming cable from Ebay

Hi Everyone

This is a first time post to this group.  

My question is has anyone purchased a USB programming cable from Ebay for use with their VR-500's?  

If you want to have a look at it please look up item number 180487405739 on ebay.

The seller also states that it can also be used with the Yaesu FT-60R which i also own, again has anyone tried this on the FT-60?

And lastly what software would you recommend to use with the cable, and would the one piece of software program both radios or am i going to have to buy a different piece of software to program the other radio?
