I had mine replaced by Yaesu a couple of years ago.  It was around $100, as 
I recall, and was relatively painless.  They had quick turnaround and the 
tech telephoned me to confirm the repairs, etc.  The only problem is the 
new display crapped out within a year or so just like the old one!  ;-(
