If it works, it'll melt the plastic together.= If it doesn't, it'll evaporate and do nothing. Just read the warnings (mos= tly try not to breathe any). The fix won't be as strong as the original, though. I don't think that's po= ssible. When I need to, I strengthen the joint by laying a few strands of c= arbon fiber across it, then a drop of plastic welder to bond them to the su= rface. If you need more than a few strands, saturate with cyanoacrylate or = epoxy to fill the fibers. I haven't had this problem yet, but I haven't used my VR-500 much lately. W= hen I did, I kept a good pair of NiMH cells (MAHA brand) in it so I never h= ad to swap cells. (Trim back the label on one so the charging contact works= .)
