Thank you for the response!

Picked up a VR-500 today and I'm impressed -- solid performance on
virtually all bands.  AM BCB seems to be the only band a bit lacking
and I'm sure this is due to the antenna.

Does any company make a BNC, rotatable ferrite loopstick for handheld,
wideband scanners?
