VR-5000 upgrade details

I have seen a great many posts in this group regarding upgrading the
firmware on the VR-5000. I have been in touch with Yeasu and below are
the details should you wish to get your receiver upgraded and
re-alligned:

What is upgraded?

Firmware to the latest version
Main CPU IC
Sub CPU IC
Receiver re-alligned

What are the costs?

1 x G1094533 Main CPU IC   £25.52
1 x G1093444 Sub CPU IC    £29.49
1.5 hours labour @ £48p/hr    £72.00
TNT return carriage               £15.00
VAT                                    £28.85

TOTAL                                £166.86

What is the process?

Send your equipment to the address below with the details of the work
required and contact details. Also include details of a return address
(equipment will need to be signed for upon receipt) and a daytime phone
number.

Please note that the normal turnaround time for the upgrade is 2-3 weeks
and Yeasu does not acknowledge receipt of equipment unless specificaly
asked. A final invoice will be sent on completion of work, and following
receipt of payment Yeasu will return the radio.
