Bjern Before you start tweaking, be aware that the VR-5000 like most of the other DC-GHz receivers will not tune precisely in SSB mode on all frequencies. What I know is that the amount of tuning error varies depending upon the last whole KHz digit. So you will find that the error for a frequency ending in 0 KHz will be different than one ending in 4 KHz. The error is repeatable but constant. So the best that you will be able to do is to adjust for 0 Hz error on one or two digits - if the VR-5000 is like my VR-500s, then 0 KHz and 5 Khz are the same error as are 1&6, 2&7, 3&8, and 4&9. If like my AR-8600 then each KHz digit is different. My recommendation is to learn to live with the offset. If you want furhter info - email direct.
